Academic mastery
Students' grades in academic mastery are based on the following:
Extra Credit: Standards-based grading uses evidence of student learning not a point- based system, therefore teachers using standards-based grading will not be giving extra credit.
Assessments: Students will have many opportunities to demonstrate mastery of the content. These may include tests, quizzes, projects, group presentations, portfolio work, etc. Students may retake assessments on their own time, before or after school. A second chance will only be offered when students give their best efforts on the first try.
